Culture QotW: Place of Worship

Comments

I wan inducted into the Christian family in one of those great churches where the ministers are all about serving the people. Great teachers, great outreaches, great youth club. About ten years later the home church feel just drained away for me. It is very difficult to find that kind of church family. I've lived in two different cities since that time and have attended some wonderful churches, but that home feel is seems to be gone. I love fellowship, I love the worship, I love the outreaches and issue centered ministries but the family feel is just not there. I'm trying very popular churches here in the OC now. Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel is within easy reach as is the huge Vineyard Church. In fact the Vineyard ran a program that I participated in for great healing in my psychological makeup. All the while I was in that first church I was listening to Chuck Smith on the local Christian radio station. Wonderful lessons and teachings though there are peripheral issues I don't agree with him in.

My whole point is, 'Thank God for a great church fit' you are truly blessed.
I definitely am grateful. Coram Deo is really more concerned with worshiping God truly than with creating a family atmosphere... but I think one follows the other.
